Ambition Institute responds to development of new specialist qualifications

Matt Hood is Chief Education Officer at Ambition Institute and sits on the Department for Education’s advisory group for the new specialist qualifications. Matt said: 

“We welcome the development of new specialist qualifications to help educators keep getting better.  

“This is exactly the kind of professional investment teachers and leaders need to improve their teaching, increase their impact on pupils and stay motivated in their roles. I am pleased to be part of the advisory group shaping the new qualifications.  

“Alongside the Early Careers Framework, the outputs from this group will help to strengthen the skills and expertise of the teaching profession, which we know is the best route to raising pupil achievement – especially for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.”
